THE POWER OF SPEECH THERAPY

FACE-TO-FACE SPEECH THERAPY SESSIONS

AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH, HINDI, PUNJABI OR URDU

Treatment Approach – Personalised, Caring & Supportive

I go out of my way to help you to understand your condition & options, communicate your needs & make your own decisions.

My face-to-face sessions can be used for all types of communication problems – from aphasia and cognitive communication difficulties for motor speech disorders such as apraxia and dysarthria, as well as eating and drinking difficulties.

My “total communication” approach means I use many tools other than just speech – including gesture, touch, facial expressions, signing and writing, along with pictures and objects. This approach also helps me to provide your conversation partners with supported conversation strategies and training, empowering you to maintain your identity as a person.

As well as speech therapy sessions, I provide personalised rehabilitative swallow programmes to help clients manage swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) and improve their quality of life. These sessions can be tailored to your specific needs and may include food/fluid modifications, exercises and manoeuvres. They can take place in the comfort of your home or a location of your choice.

depending on your personal situation. We can arrange a fully interactive programme that focuses on your personal goals and objectives, at a time and place that suits you.

Areas covered

  • London: NORTH & EAST
  • South West Essex: e.g. Chigwell, Loughton, Epping, Harlow, Brentwood and Romford.

“It is obvious that Tina cares about the people she treats.  She is passionate and dedicated about her work and always goes the extra mile giving 110% to each session.

More importantly, she  treats my husband as a person rather than a patient and has given him the confidence and motivation to really try.  As a consequence, there has been a distinct improvement.”
