Treatment Approach – Personalised, Caring & Supportive

Teletherapy allows you to connect with your speech therapist anywhere

My online speech and language therapy programmes are available for teleconference platforms such as Zoom, Facetime or Skype. The interactive video sessions are carefully designed to restore speech, build confidence and help you communicate effectively. Plus they include everything from the initial diagnosis and rehabilitation right through to ongoing progess reports and follow-up sessions.

Teletherapy eliminates many of the issues around travel and allows you to have your sessions in an environment where you feel comfortable. All you need is an email account and access to a computer, laptop or tablet with webcam and high-speed internet. This will allow us to connect in real time, using interactive pictures and videos.

With your consent, I can also record response, save and track data and share the recordings with you to help monitor your progress.

depending on your personal situation. We can arrange a fully interactive programme that focuses on your personal goals and objectives, at a time and place that suits you.

A New Way Of Working!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Sometimes we need to adapt and change, but change doesn’t always mean bad, it’s about learning / improving in order to move forward to help clients in their road to recovery.

“Teletherapy” is speech and language therapy (SLT) delivered via a video web call.

Many people who need SLT have been restricted by stay at home orders or other restrictions to protect this own health or that of others.

Teletherapy bridges that gap, allowing clients to get continued SLT to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.⠀⠀

How does teletherapy work?

Teletherapy is using technology linking the client to their private SLT (ME) in a separate location e.g. their home. This prevents the risk of both of us from catching/spreading the virus as there is no need to leave your home.

I use video conferences such as Zoom, Microsoft teams etc to connect with my clients to allow them to fully interact.

These are GDPR compliant & data protected. It is a safe and secure environment for completing speech and language therapy sessions encrypting the information that is shared.

I have a virtual ‘waiting room’ for the client to be admitted to the session and every client needs a password to enter. This ensures that nobody but the intended users can access the session. All you need is an email account and access to the internet via a computer or tablet.⠀

Benefits of Teletherapy?

Time Saving- No travel time to worry about

Cost effective- No transportation needed so no need to worry about commuting

Convenience-difficulties with mobility may prevent my clients from going to SLT sessions

Flexible Schedule meeting clients needs, eliminating scheduling conflicts

Sessions can be recorded and shared with family members who want to be included in the success and improvement of a loved one’s health

We can connect with each other- Any Time Any Place⠀

Everyone can access the service.⠀
